We are a small farm located in deep east Texas on the Texas/Louisiana border just West of Toledo Bend Resevoir. We primarily raise Nigerian Dwarf goats but we also raise Boar goats, ABCA Border Collies, Quarter and Paint horses. We started out with our goats being our pets then branched out into our registered stock.
---KIDS AND PUPPIES FOR SALE!!!---
Our intention is to breed for show quality animals with excellent milk production. We will continually monitor and adjust our breeding program to improve upon the Nigerian Dwarf Species.
Thank you for visiting our site!
The Nigerian Dwarf goat is a miniature dairy goat from West Africa. Ideal for family production, they supply two-five pounds of milk with 5%-10% butterfat. These gentle animals make great pets, companion animals, and 4-H projects. Usually 18-23 inches tall, Nigerian dwarves kid easily and are excellent mothers to their young.
Here at Lone Oak Farm herd health is extremely important. We test annually for CAE, TB and Bangs and have never had a positive result. All of our kids are dam-raised because we have found that they are healthier, happier and stronger this way. We spend a few hours a day with our goats to ensure that they are friendly and socialized well. I breed for correct conformation and milking ability. My goats are registered with the American Goat Society (AGS) and the Nigerian Dwarf Goat Association (NDGA)
